Transracial adoptee born in Brazil, raised in Sweden, and currently residing in Thailand. Passionate about the foster care and adoptee community, and dedicated to creating opportunities for exercising Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). I love discussing Sexual Liberation from a human rights perspective and enjoy highlighting the societal implications of sexual norms and stereotypes, as well as how these norms affect our daily lives and relationships. I am passionate about movement and dance, and spend my free time either in nature (the jungle here in Thailand) or on the dance floor. I embrace the concept of letting go, feeling free, and expanding my love for myself and the world we live in.
I am a mother of two children, aged 14.5 and 11.5. My youngest was born at home during a planned home birth, which sparked my interest in the spiritual side of sexology and transcendence. My studies and experiences have led me to explore not only the spiritual aspects but also how we can integrate sexual liberation, anti-colonial perspectives, and the significance of embodiment for all people, regardless of body type
Somatic Sexology moves beyond what standard sex therapies aim to do; find ways to 'get back to normal' for the client or the couple. Somatic Sex Education is grounded in counter-normative understanding of gender, sex and relationships. We reflect on what is 'normal' , what ideals, ideas and sexual stereotypes in the society that affect us and how we can break free from what no longer serves us.
With different types of exercises, which where we put your body to the center, we will together unfold new possibilities to feel and extend pleasure and liberation. Taking normalization out of the picture allows us to build a greater capacity for somatic awareness, expand our pleasure and find new ways to express intimacy and connection. It allows us to release shame and guilt and look closer at your emotional needs and wishes from your experiences and how this can be expressed in words, as in the language from your body.
Common problems is premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, not being able to orgasm, earlier experiences of trauma that makes sexual contact problematic. Other common challenges is lack of understanding genital anatomy aswell as feeling 'locked' into a stereotypical image of masculinity or femininity that creates barriers for exploration.
